Gold Personalized Fingerprint Necklace

Gold filled engraved necklace with a versatile 20mm circle pendant. Finger/thumb print on the pendant is customizable (more details below). Can be styled with additional gold necklaces from our collections. Chain length is available in 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24 inch cable chain. All personalized jewelry sales are final, no returns or exchanges. 

I accept finger or thumb prints from sheet of paper that is scanned or taken with a phone camera. Please note that the better the lighting and quality of the image, the higher quality the engraved finger/thumb print will be.

To take your own fingerprint at home, use a black non-toxic ink pad and delicately cover the finger pad with your finger. Take a white sheet of paper and place it on a hard surface and roll finger onto paper. If you do not have an ink pad, there is another way you can take your thumb/fingerprint using tape, paper, and a pencil which will be described below. I can also use an existing thumb/finger print of your loved one to engrave. Your prints will be sized in a way that fits best on the circle. Any questions can be emailed to melania@madebymelania.com

Simple & safe method using graphite and clear tape:
Materials Needed:
Pencil
White Paper
Clear Tape (transparent adhesive tape)
Steps
Prepare Your Finger: Wash your hands thoroughly to remove any dirt or oil. Dry your hands completely.
Apply Pencil Lead: Using a pencil, completely shade a small area on the paper. Make it as dark as possible.
Roll Your Finger: Roll your fingertip over the shaded area on the paper, ensuring the entire fingerprint area is covered in graphite. Press down firmly, but not too hard.
Transfer the Print: Once your fingerprint is on the paper, carefully place a small piece of clear tape over the fingerprint. Gently press down on the tape to ensure it sticks to your fingerprint.
Lift the Tape: Peel the tape off your finger gently. Your fingerprint should now be transferred onto the sticky side of the tape.
Stick the Tape: Carefully place the tape with your fingerprint onto a clean, white surface (such as an index card or another piece of paper). Press it down gently to secure the print.
Label and Store: Label the fingerprint with your name and the date it was taken. Store it in a safe place for future reference.
